In the category of things I never got over…
Still missing Bruno’s Pizza, (sausage and onion, Diet Coke to cool the burn on the roof of my mouth) I was thrilled to read in the Kalamazoo Menu Facebook page about a restaurant in Battle Creek which the author said reminded him of Bruno’s. Road Trip Time! Volcano Pizza did not disappoint. Even the decor is straight out of the 60’s. No mural, but the wallpaper is a close second. And it turns out that the original owners of Volcano were related to the original owners of Bruno’s! We shared our photos of Bruno’s with the new owner, of course.
