Only Ann & I moved here. My friend Jim and I were doing a documentary photography project for the Dyer Ives Foundation. A member of that group knew I was looking for a place to live and mentioned that he owned a building with a vacant unit. Again I can’t remember, but I think our rent was still less than $100 a month. At the time we were there the house included four apartments, two up and two down. We were first floor right. I remember quite little about this apartment, but there are two events that I do still remember. Ann had a nice purse stolen from a table in the living room under an open window. Fortunately the purse was empty, and we never found it. The other although completely unrelated to the house still goes with me. I was working in Master Control at WGVC and while changing a ceiling light, fell and broke my knee and a bit of shin bone. I didn’t realize the seriousness of the injury while driving home and then went to bed. In the morning the pain was quite intense and all very swollen. I drove myself to St. Mary’s Hospital to get first a lot of bandages and tape, and a few days later a cast from thigh to ankle.
